A Plymouth man who was the subject of a wide-scale police and coastguard search in Plymouth on Monday is still missing, Devon and Cornwall Police have confirmed.
The police and coastguard operation was carried out on the waterfront by Madeira Road on Monday afternoon – but the man is still missing.
Witnesses told PlymouthLive on Monday they saw a number of coastguard officers and police around staff in the Elphinstone car park at the Barbican, with photos from the scene showing their presence.

A police spokesman said officers were following a number of investigative leads to ascertain the whereabouts of a man.
They said that as part of these investigations and due to information gathered in the area, police are engaging in a multi-agency response off the Hoe area regarding a high risk missing person.
No further information has been released regarding the man in question and the spokesperson previously said there were no reports of anyone being seen entering the water in this area.
However, they said at the time that they were keeping an open mind and that searches were being carried out in areas other than the seafront.
